About Me
As long back as I can remember I have thought of myself as an artist. I have been creating things with my hands since I was a very young child. It has not always been just painting however. My creative efforts have included sewing, crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, furniture re-upholstery, collage with colored rice, ceramics, floral arranging, gardening, painting in watercolor, acrylic and murals. I get a deep sense of fulfillment from accomplishing/finishing all the different projects I have going in my life. I am an avid reader so I run into the ever-present problem of not having enough time in the day to accomplish everything I want to accomplish.
I went to San Jose State University as an art and design major. I have continued my education by going back to college and getting a degree in Graphic Design as well as taking numerous seminars and workshops to expand my knowledge in both graphic design and water media. I am a member of the Santa Clara Watercolor Society, which continues to expand my understanding and skills as an artist.
Recently, I have had the privilege of participating in painting acrylic murals at Kelly Brewery in Morgan Hill. A group of 8 artists create panels that fit together as one image. It’s been a great experience.
